The German automobile association ADAC now sells its new prepaid cellphone cards, marketed in cooperation with getsmart GmbH, via Retailo, Europe’s leading multi-channel distributor. Retailo sells ADAC Prepaid and ADAC young & mobile cards in the Geschenkkartenwelt of over-the-counter retail outlets and, conveniently and securely, via PayPal’s QRShopping app.
ADAC Prepaid and ADAC young & mobile prepaid cards have been available since March from Retailo, starting in Retailo’s Geschenkkartenwelt at the Lotto Berlin and Wasgau retail chains, with further retail partners to follow. Retailo also enables card purchase by QRShopping. Use PayPal’s QRShopping app to scan the QR product code with an iPhone or an Android smart-phone and it will take you just a few clicks to order the card you want and have it mailed to your home address right away. Retailo handles all of the background processes that lead to customers being sent the card they want as fast as possible.
The partners familiarize consumers with the QR codes for the two products via numerous channels such as online newsletters, social media, and selected ADAC media. “In PayPal QRShopping we have opened up a new sales channel that takes the product really close to the consumer. As a specialist in digital distribution channels we have the know-how and experience required to offer PayPal QRShopping securely to the general public,” says Retailo CEO Christian Lindner.
Maximum mobility and availability for cellphone users of all kinds
ADAC Prepaid cards are aimed at customers who use cellphone services that are both low-cost and flexible but do not want to make any compromises. Using the ADAC Prepaid tariff, customers can make calls for nine euro cents per minute or nine cents per text message. And if they want to surf the Web on the move via the E-Plus Group’s network they pay a fair 24 cents per megabyte of data volume used. Attractive international calling packages within the EU also ensure cost certainty when traveling or on vacation.
ADAC young & mobile offers young wireless network users maximum mobility. For a package deal of nine euros per month, users can surf the Web around the clock with full cost control. The Internet flat rate is already included in a prepaid package that also includes 100 minutes of calls and 100 texts in all German networks. Extra calls cost nine cents a minute or nine cents a text.
An exclusive extra for ADAC members
In addition to the inexpensive cellphone tariffs, ADAC members enjoy further benefits. Every time they refill their card or buy extra credit, they get a 10 per-cent bonus. Need breakdown assistance? They can call the ADAC breakdown service free of charge, so no credit is required, and using the m.adac.de mobile website and the ADAC Motorwelt app incurs no extra data costs either.
There is a special extra for Young Generation members who join when they order their young & mobile prepaid card. As soon as the first €19 membership fee is paid to the ADAC, it is credited to the user’s prepaid account.
